Andy Gotts MBE MA is a photographer based in London, England, and New York, USA. He is most noted for his black and white portraits of Hollywood actors and iconic musicians.

The National Portrait Gallery holds a selection of his photographs in their permanent collection and in 2009 Gotts was honoured with the presentation of the Fox Talbot Award for excellence in photography.
​
In 2011 Gotts was conferred the degree Doctor of Arts by De Montfort University and he is a former President of
the British Institute of Professional Photographers.
​
2012 saw Gotts appointed MBE in the Queen's New Years Honours List.
​
Gotts is noted for his magnum opus 'Degrees' which was inspired by the game, the Six Degrees of Kevin Bacon ; BAFTA – 'Behind The Mask', as well as SAVE THE ARCTIC for Vivienne Westwood, and the Monty Python reunion.
​
Other projects includes 'UNSEEN' which features 100 photographic contact-sheets. of Hollywood actors and world famous musicians, 'ICONS which launched in September 2021 at the Maddox Gallery, a celebration of Guide Dogs for their 90th anniversary, the Million Dollar Photograph for Janie's Fund and a special book entitled 'THE PHOTOGRAPH'... Other projects that happened in 2022: were THE FACES OF SOCCER AID for UNICEF and a wonderful personal project THANK YOU, BUT NO.

November 2023 saw the launch of an exciting new exhibition entitled NEMESIS. This exhibition features all the spectacular actors, shot during Gotts's three decades, who have portrayed the 'villain' opposite a certain Martini drinking, gadget loving, Aston Martin driving MI6 agent. Be stirred, not shaken!

2024 was a busy one. The year began with THE PLAYLIST exhibition in Las Vegas as a celebration to The Grammys. This was closely followed by a pithy titled ". . .and the winner is . . ?" to doff ones cap to the movie award season in Mayfair, London.. We then launched THE ICONOGRAPHER in Sofia, Bulgaria, as we branched out to different counties to show off the wonderful works of Gotts.

2025 shall be an exciting and busy year. So far we have exhibitions planned for Los Angles, Stockholm and Monaco, details on these and other events to celebrate 35 years as a celebrity photographer and 20 years since the launch of the bestselling book DEGREES shall be announced very soon...
